In an epic case of bad timing, a "horde" of
orcs, goblinoids, and trolls came from the northern part of Farsaidh to attack the Valcorian empire. The fighting lasted nearly 10 years before The Rift, at which point it was seen as wise by the orc elders to fight back the threat from the rifts rather than gain the land from the humans only to lose it from others. In a sign of combined effort they waged war alongside the beleaguered empire and helped win the battle. As a result, peace talks were held that recognized the orcs and their contributions to the fight, legitimizing them as a civilized (if primal) civilization. The goblinoids and trolls didn't like this situation much, and as a result have been bitter rivals and enemies of orcish clans. Orcs in this world, while possessing the potential for great fury, are also very wise and close to nature. They are Druids and barbarians, but also clerics and paladins. As a result of their inclusion, in this world orcs are seen as the premiere weapon makers, not orcs. They're smithing is prized across the continent and their views on coexistence are highly praised. Cultural influence: First Nation tribes across NA.
